EPIC

This last week we kicked off our first EPIC for 2008. To be honest before the night it was hard for me to want to go. You see our youth pastor Steve & his wife Erin just moved to Kansas and it has been hard not having them here. It was a quick move and it feels like we didn't really get to say goodbye as we would have liked....
However, Wednesday night was fast approaching and there was much to be done.

Long story short it was a incredible night of God moving in the hearts of unchurched teenagers. We had over 40 kids come & there were many new faces. Was it crazy w/o Steve & Erin, yes. Did we miss them, yes. Did God still do incredible things? YES!! I heard from 3 leaders of deep conversations that had with their students and hearts being open to share some of the hurts they carry. God moved on Wednesday in these kids hearts.

I have been through a lot of change in the past 4 years, having to say lots of goodbyes. However, one thing I have learned is that sometimes God moves others out of the way to raise up new leaders & stretch people's hearts.

My prayer is that we would follow God's leading, he would raise up adult and student leaders & that we would experience parts of him that we never have through this process of change.

Missions Trip Letter

Here is our support letter explaining what Greg and I will be doing in Nicaragua.

Hope for Nicaragua

Greg & I are going to Nicaragua in March and our youth kids are raising supplies for us to take to the malnourished kids Greg will be working with us. We are currently raising support & preparing our hearts for this adventure.

Heartache

My heart aches for the child that does not even exist yet. My heart aches for the child named Jose Daniel in a orphanage in Honduras. My heart aches to be a mother.
Yet in the moments of heartache & during the infertility testing God continues to speak to me.

He says....
The smallest family will become a thousand people, and he tiniest group will become a mighty nation. At the right time, I the Lord will make it happen.
Isaiah 60:22

Sing, O childless woman, you who have never given birth!
Break into loud and joyful song, O Jerusalem
you who have never been in labor.
For the desolate woman now has more children
than the woman who lives with her husband,”
says the Lord.

Enlarge your house; build an addition.
Spread out your home, and spare no expense!
For you will soon be bursting at the seams.
Your descendants will occupy other nations
and resettle the ruined cities.
Isaiah 54:1-3
